Booking
Please use our Booking App at the top of this website or you can book through Google maps. If you have any questions please contact us by phone (01955 611251) or email (info@johnogroatsguesthouse.com).
Payment
Payment for your stay should be made by cash or debit card on the day of your departure.
Cancellation
We understand things can change before or during your trip. If for any reason you have a problem and need to cancel your booking, it would be much appreciated if you can email info@johnogroatsguesthouse.com as soon as you know and we can cancel your booking.
Arrival Time
Please time your arrival for after 4pm, to allow us to ensure that your room is properly prepared. If you are going to arrive after 9pm, please let us know.
Early Arrivals - Arriving before 4pm
Any early arrivals is purely at our discretion and would be subject to a minimum fee of £10.
Not only to ensure the Guest House is ready for all new arrivals but also to ensure that we are able to have ourselves a break. It is just the two of us who operate the Guest House from breakfast preparation and service until final drinks call at 10pm, and everything in-between. We value our down time to rest and ensure we can continue to offer all the services and high standards at the Guest House throughout the busy season.
Late Check in - Arriving after 9pm
Similar to early arrivals, a late check in service is provided purely at our discretion and would be subject to a fee of £10 per hour, per room starting from 10pm. This service is provided we have prior notice and are updated with arrivals times.
We appreciate that travel difficulties do occur, we seek to offer all the support and assistance possible and the last thing we would want is people worried about having to spend a night in their car.
However, we have had to introduce this policy as people have taken advantage of our goodwill, checking in closer to midnight with minimal updates and little consideration that we have to be up by 6am to prep for breakfast service.
Consumption of food not purchased from the Guest House
We understand that you may not want to have a cooked evening meal every night of your holiday and you may have opted for a picnic styled meal.
We kindly ask that guests refrain from having bed picnics. We want to offer our guests a luxury stay with our 400 thread count organic Egyptian cotton bedding. Unfortunately, we have seen too much food and drink damage to our bedding making it difficult for us to sustain.
We are happy to provide guests with a place setting (plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins and clean up of waste) for a coverage charge.
Place setting - £2.50 per person
Place setting with a local beer or small house wine - £5.00
Consumption of alcoholic drinks not purchased from the Guest House
For consideration of us and our guests partaking in our evening meal service, we politely ask that guests do not consume any alcoholic beverages purchased from outside the Guest House in communal areas between the hours of 17:30 and 21:30. Thank you for your cooperation.
Departure Time
We kindly ask that our guests check out by 10.00am.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served between 7.30am - 9am Mon, Fri, Sat, Sunday and between 7,30am - 8.30am Tues, Wed, Thur.
Dietary Requirements
Please inform us of any specific dietary requirements at time of booking and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
Pets
Unfortunately we are not able to accept pets into the Guest House due to our allergies
