Royal Enfield's Continental GT celebrates 50 years
A film crew from Surindera Studios stayed with us to film a recreation of the 1964 24-hour ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End marking the launch of Royal Enfield’s 1965 Continental GT model. As part of the initial ride, noted motorcycle racer John Cooper lapped the Silverstone race circuit where he reached a record-breaking 73mph.
The 50th anniversary ride also celebrates the launch of Royal Enfield’s first exclusive store in the UK.
Update: The ride was completed in 20 hours 57 minutes. Well Done!
